Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time and you won't be charged for the next billing cycle.
What happens when my free account reaches its limit?
Once you've used your free assessment, you'll be prompted to choose a paid plan to continue receiving automated reports on new roles. Your account and data remain intact.
Can I customize the interview questions?
Yes. When you create a role, you write your own interview questions tailored to the position. You're in full control of what you ask candidates.
How many questions can I include in an interview?
You can include multiple questions per interview. We recommend keeping it focused — typically 4 to 6 questions — so candidates can complete it in around 10 minutes.
How are candidate submissions assessed?
After a candidate submits their responses, Aplaix transcribes the video and analyzes the content of their answers. Each candidate receives a consistent score along with a concise summary highlighting their strengths and gaps relative to the role.
How do you ensure fair and unbiased assessments?
Aplaix evaluates candidates based on the content of their answers, not appearance, accent, or demographic factors. Every candidate is assessed against the same structured criteria, which helps reduce the inconsistency that often comes with human-led 1st-round interviews.
Can I watch the actual video responses?
Yes. In addition to assessment and scores, you can watch the full video response for any candidate at any time.
How quickly are assessment reports generated after a candidate submits?
Reports are generated automatically within minutes of a candidate submitting their interview.
Can I share candidate results with my team?
Yes. Team members on your plan can log in and review candidate scores, summaries, and videos together. You can also share assessments with external stakeholders — like hiring managers or executives — without requiring them to have an Aplaix account. Shared links are secured with a passphrase to keep candidate data protected.
What is a video interview with Aplaix?
A video interview is a set of pre-recorded questions from the employer that you answer on camera at your own pace. There's no live call — you record your responses whenever it's convenient for you.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Just make sure you have a working camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Can I retake my answers?
No. Once you begin the interview, you must complete it in one sitting from start to finish. Make sure you're in a quiet space and can dedicate about 10 minutes before you start.
How long should my answers be?
Each question may have a suggested response length set by the employer. You'll see that guidance before you record.
Who reviews my interview?
Your responses are reviewed by the hiring team. Aplaix also provides generated summaries to help recruiters evaluate candidates consistently and fairly.
What happens to my video after I submit?
Your video is only shared with the employer who posted the role. Aplaix does not share your data with third parties.
